WILLKOMMEN to our alluring and whimsical Cabaret!
Jan. 24 2019 - Jan 30 2019

On 6 special nights, we will be presenting Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret the Musical and place you at a seat inside the infamous, Kit Kat Klub. The decadent Berlin nightclub will be recreated, for your pleasure, at the Deep End, a bar on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood in NYC. We welcome you to enjoy the entertainment while indulging in small plates and cocktails.

Leave your troubles outside. So, Life is disappointing? Forget it! In here life is beautiful.

You will experience a variety show, debaucherous and bizarre, while taking you back to that luxurious nightclub in Berlin Germany, 1930. With a diverse ensemble of club performers, each with unique talents, in intricate custom-made costumes, we'll tell the story of Sally Bowles and Cliff Bradshaw, cozied between creative variety acts!

We are building an inclusive community and want you involved! We are creating an LGBTQIA+ authentic production that works to establish an ideal space of inclusion. We are tired of discriminatory casting and in order to seek a fresher and more inclusive experience we are opening all roles to any persons (regardless of orientation, gender or race) as long as they can act the part. We are here to celebrate our individualities and believe that this will  bring color to a story told many times over.

We are passionate about this project and in 2018, are looking to build a queer voice through theatre that stands strong against oppressive anti-LGBTQIA policies and show the advantages of valuing diversity in theatre and work spaces.

As we welcome friends into our Cabaret community, we need your participation if you believe in our 2018-relevant cause. The money raised will be used to ensure this production has a strong foundation of resources which will support the imagination of our talented creative team.

More specifically:

-Create spectacular on-stage looks; from costume to hair to makeup
-Acquire authentic props that are true to the time period
-Hire excellent, experienced musicians
-Ensure professional-quality lighting and sound equipment
-Rent our space at the Deep End.
-Compensate artists for time & talent.

Thank you for contributing to the Kit Kat Klub and for your belief in what we are creating.

MORE INFORMATION about Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret:
Goodbye to Berlin, Christopher Isherwood’s semi-autobiographical account of life in the 1930’s rising Nazi Germany, has become an important cultural artifact in queer history. When Harold Prince joined forces with John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff to adapt this story into a musical, the story and its characters were catapulted into popular culture. Isherwood presents its characters: likable and charming, yet ignorant and reckless to the rapidly growing fascist movement in Germany. Isherwood’s most well known character, Sally Bowles, chooses apathy and fantasy over action and morality. In 2018, this material remains deeply relevant as we try to balance social and political consciousness in a highly indulgent and sexualized  American culture.

Meet the Director:
Hi! I’m Jacob Pincus of Brooklyn NY, and as an actor, director, and teacher, I’m creating a show that feels like an authentic extension of my LGBT community. I need this production up due to its political relevance as well as my passion for using theatre as a space for social change. My experience is comprised of a role on broadway and numerous directing credits as well as a BFA in Musical Theatre. I’ve fallen in love with queer entertainment and am excited to bring you the best talent  New York City has to offer.
