Alaska Rural Sports Program -Yukon Flats

The Yukon Flats School District is a small rural village school district located north of Fairbanks Alaska. I am the school counselor and coach. This year we are hoping to start a few new sports teams. We are hoping to start volleyball, archery, and cross country. We are hoping to acquire needed funds to purchase uniforms and equipment. Due to being remote our sports teams also must travel great distance in order to participate in games and tournaments. Much of our sports budget goes to travel. We are hoping to get more students invloved with athletics and learn life long skills.
