Jayden Trace is a respectable talented athlete who played for local Sunshine Coast clubs Nambour Crushers during his junior years and then his Senior Rugby at Maroochydore Rugby League Football Club. Jayden also went on to represent the Sunshine Coast Falcons (aka SC Sea Eagles) throughout many years of Rugby League. Jayden has played the game he loves most since the age of 5 and has lived his whole life living and breathing the game. Jayden is known as a well presented polite individual, some would even say inspirational leader, however recently tragedgy has occured.

Jayden was playing the game of rugby league with his brothers in Brisbane for the QUT Trouts versing ACU in a local Brisbane University Comp on 7/9/2016 when he was the result of a late drop tackle. Jayden was struck down and injured in the game having to be taken to the Prince Charles Hosiptal for emergency treatment. The results came back that Jayden had tearing of all ligaments in his knee and dislocated knee and much more, and was informed by doctors at the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital that Jayden is in the same class of injury as a leg amputee. News has obviously shocked the family as everyone who knows Jayden would agree that Rugby has been his life.

Jayden was given the horrendous speech that he could never play rugby league ever again, additionally he was dishearted when he was told that his chances of playing any sport are slim and too risky. Jayden has hit some speed bumps already in his recovery with clots, numbness and signs of dropfoot. Doctors and Physios has been working closely with Jayden to support the recovery process to give him the ability to walk again unsupported however this is a costly expense and a lot of hard work.

Jayden has always been a fun kid that loves spending times with his family and friends however after the incident Jayden has been showing signs of depression and embarrassment. Life can always be a hard road, and Jayden is finding it very hard to cope, keeping in mind his future.

Jayden has not only the mental battle with learning to walk with both legs again he has recently experienced the passing of his grandmother on 24th November 2016 and on the 29th of December 2016 his beautiful cousin Emily sadly passed away age 14. Jayden has always been the kind of kid to shout out and dedicate his success to the memories of people who have ment alot around him and we have been keeping his mind active towards the fact his grandmother and Emily would want him to be better again and be the Jay Jay that we have always loved.

If you can please consider our Jay Jay for a donation it would really help towards his road to recovery.

The donated money will go towards physiotherapy, surgeries, doctors, any other ongoing medical costs and re education expenses to help set Jayden up for the prospects of a job in the future.

From Jayden and the family we would like to really say thank-you from the depths of our hearts.
