TSA National Competition

My name is Wesley Hu,  I am currently a 7th grade student attending Kilmer Middle School. 

On June 22-26, my partner (Jason Sun) and I will attend the TSA National Conference (http://www.tsaweb.org/2018-national-conference) at Atlanta, Georgia for a STEM national competition. The Technology Student Association (TSA) is an organization enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through extracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.

We will compete in Structural Engineering and Solar Sprint events. We received second place while competing at Virginia state conference and were qualified to attend the national competition as finalist. We plan to attend the national conference for the competition. The conference to Atlanta will cost around $2,000 in total, which includes the registration fee, transportation and lodging costs. Both of your donation and support will help us a lot. As representatives of Virginia, the STEM activities we pursuit will help fund and encourage the state and county’s STEM related activities. We will strive to do our best in making our school, community, state, and nation better places in which to live.
