My name is Bianca Rivera and I’m in charge of directing the school musicals at Discovery Charter School. Our productions involve students from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade.
Each year we put on our big spring musical and this year it’s Aladdin Jr.! Unfortunately we don’t have an indoor rehearsal space or stage. Our students practice the show outside until the day of the show. This year we want to step up our performance location and go to the CSN Horn Theatre. To help cover costs of the theatre, technical staff, equipment and other costs that come with the venue rental we are asking to help fundraise $2,000. The students work so hard on the show and I would love for them to be able to perform on a real stage!
