In the wake of this devastating Camp Fire the county of Butte is strong and coming together to help each other. Please help us in to help Butte County Homeschoolers Thrive!
Our community of homeschoolers has been hit hard as many families lived and worked in areas completely destroyed by fire.
These families will have many needs and we'd like to do our part in providing what we can.
Thrive Homeschool Program already has an amazing team of kind, caring adults and a beautiful space with rooms full of supplies, a small organic food garden and a playground. We've been providing academic and enrichment programs for Butte Homeschoolers for the past 8 years and want to expand to offer more of what they need right now and in the coming months and years.
Your donations will help us provide:
*low/no cost quality academic and enrichment drop off programs for kids so families can take care of rebuilding their lives
*on site counseling to support children who have gone through this traumatic event, have lost everything they owned, and their friends who are struggling with this scary situation.
*an ongoing donation space where families have access to the resources they need and storage until they can use it
*a computer lab with internet for families to access the services they need
*growing our food garden and providing organic food to our families
*providing more therapeutic art and music offerings
*afternoon/evening and weekend programs for families to connect and get the extra services they need to rebuild their lives
*extra paid hours for our staff who are eager to help but need to support their own families as well (some have also lost their homes)
*funding for a grant writer to help us secure more funding to provide these services
*hiring of additional directors and instructors to facilitate and provide these quality additional offerings
These services are so needed by our community right now. We have the facility and infrastructure to provide them and need your financial assistance to make this a reality and keep our homeschool community thriving.
