Butch Ellis Scholarship Fund

Over the last 6 years, the Butch Ellis Foundation has raised over $60,000 for local communities in Central Indiana. Those fundraisers have included donations to local families, the American Heart Association, the Cancer Association of Shelby County, Horizon House, Rupert’s Kids, the Chris Lytle Foundation, and the Morristown Boys & Girls Club. We also have used funds for our “Christmas Giveback Program” to provide over 75 children the past three years with a Christmas they will never forget. We now turn our attention to a new goal in 2017.
The average tuition cost in Indiana per year is roughly $11,000. This has forced many kids/young adults to take out massive amounts of student loans to help offset these costs. This creates quite the financial burden for most kids when they graduate college. That is why the Butch Ellis Foundation has decided to start a scholarship fund for the local schools in Shelby & Hancock counties. The first scholarships will be offered in 2018 (due to fundraising taking place in 2017).
This is where YOU come in. Without community support we cannot accomplish our goals in 2017! The Butch Ellis Foundation has our annual fundraiser, “the 7th Annual Charity Event”, on July 8, 2017. What started as a backyard cornhole tournament has blossomed into an all-day event with bands, a live/silent auction, car show, bike ride, vendors, and hundreds of visitors. WE WANT 2017 TO BE THE BIGGEST YEAR YET! We have several sponsorship levels available for the event in July! We will also be collecting items for our live & silent auction.
