Burial Funds for Michael Salsedo

Donation protected
My beloved Michael passed away on the morning of December 21st, 2018.

It has taken me several days to even create this page.
I have been in deep mourning and just struggling to go on without him.
His poor body is lying in  the morgue waiting for me to have enough money to bury him.

Our income has been so tiny that we were never able to set aside any money for burial expenses.
We talked and prayed about it on a regular basis, but we were not able to do any "planning ahead".

>This area has been updated to reflect the fact that we have been told that a burial is so cost prohibitive, it cannot happen.
Now the focus will be on trying to raise enough funds to have Michael's body cremated :(

The last 7 years have been such a difficult health battle for him, and me as well as his only support person.
I can only comfort myself in the fact that he is no longer suffering in his pain-wracked body.
He had congestive heart failure, two by-pass surgeries, he was diabetic, he suffered 2 major strokes in the last two years, as well as several heart attacks, pacemaker and multiple leg stent surgeries, and he had recently had his right big toe amputated due to it being an entry point for a long term sepsis infection :*^(
He was such a trooper.
No matter what, he rarely complained.
He was so brave to go through so many surgeries and so much pain.
I will always admire that quality about him.

His beautiful outside mirrored  the beauty on the inside.
For those who didn't know him, Michael was Mishewal Wappo and Lac Courte Oreilles Chippewa.

I will always remember (and cry) when I think of how he used to wake up EVERY single morning and say with a smile, "GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!" He always woke up happy, which always amazed me.
He always reminded me that when the going gets rough (which it seemingly always did) that one can start the day over again anew at any time.

I admired so many things about him:
The beauty of his hands and feet always amazed me.
His beautiful hands made beautiful jewelry.
His beautiful smile and quick wit just lit up a room when he entered.
He was so shy and humble about his talents--skilled carpenter, fantastic at math, jewelry maker, artist, singer of songs, teller of tales, seer of visions and dreamer of dreams, traveling companion, giver of the most comforting hugs and kisses.
He was always willing to help others even though he couldn't even help himself.
The kindness and generosity of his little broken heart could not be equaled.

I can't believe my 'Adventure Buddy' is gone.
We spent as much time as we could when he was not in hospitals and nursing homes just driving around admiring God's beautiful world.
Adventure after Adventure.
He was always enthralled by our little adventures and I will always treasure them <3
His child-like for innocence the last two years since his first stroke was such a blessing.
No longer angry at life or himself, he began to be so gentle and see the beauty in everything.
Every day was a new adventure for him.
He began to really PLAY and find happiness in life.

His father passed away right after I met him. I never knew his mother. But time and time again he would cry and tell me how much he missed his parents and wanted to see them. Now that he has gone to spend eternity with them, my hope is that he will never cry for them again....

Please allow me to express my deepest and forever grateful thanks to those who are willing to show their kindness towards this wonderful, complicated  man.
I wish you could have known him-he changed my life forever.

Rest in Peace my beloved husband.
