Burger the Greyhound - Vet Bills
Spende geschützt
Yesterday, we came home to our darling four year old Burger in a mess (I cannot possibly put it in to writing). He has spent the night at the emergency vet on constant watch, having suffered at least two seizures.
Our gorgeous dog has suffered from neurological issues for some time - but this was never expected. Thankfully, we have just found out that he has made it through the night. Today, we are faced with extremely expensive investigatory scans (MRI and CT) to find the root of the cause.
We are facing a +$2k bill for the care he received over night and a bill upwards of +$5k to investigate the problem and then his continuing care.
The day before, the three of us (myself, George and Burger) had just returned from a 5-day trip in the Southern Highlands where George and I got married with Burger by our side. What this unfortunately means is that our funds are completely, completely depleted. We are lucky - we have insurance that will eventually (hopefully) pay out up to 80% of costs but we do need help to cover the payment in the meantime and to help us with the gap. I really wouldn’t ask if we weren’t desperate. We will do anything to help our precious pup, he means everything to us both.
Any surplus funds received will be donated to Greyhound Rescue Australia.
