The worst thing a family member or loved one could ever hear from a care-provider is, “I’m sorry, we’ve done all we can do, your loved one is not going to make it”. I’ve stood next to countless mothers, fathers, children, siblings and significant others and watched their last little bit of HOPE crumble before their very eyes as Doctors whisper these words countless times in the emergency room.
IHOPE, the Islamic Holistic Outreach Program for Everyone, is an Islamic enterprise designed to revive the Prophet’s healing, combined with a natural lifestyle, to treat chronic diseases. IHOPE believes “all we can do” doesn’t exist until the soul exits the body, therefore we work with our brothers and sisters until they are completely healed or Allah s.w.t. decrees otherwise. We will offer this service at our retreat center in the beautiful highlands of West Africa, Guinea. Guinea is one of the best places to build the Aminah Holistic Retreat Centers due to its beautiful waterfalls, natural water sources, pure air, organic food and a relaxing natural environment. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease a difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter. And whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) for him in the world and the Hereafter. And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother."
The Aminah Holistic Retreat Center:
Is named after my best friend Hajjah Aminah Rodriquez who played a significant role in my spiritual and academic development. Hajjah Aminah and I were best friends for over 21 years and we both spent a great deal of time studying traditional medicine in Islam. In 2007, the unthinkable happened; my best friend was diagnosed with stage four skin cancer that had metastasized to her lymph nodes. After receiving two rounds of chemotherapy, Aminah fell extremely weak and ill. She was informed that there was little to nothing that could be done. Within weeks of her treatment, she was on her death bed with very little life in her. I was at her bed side praying and talking with her, hoping I was going to bring her home with me, but by the decree of Allah my best friend, my spiritual companion, was called back that late that night. For many years I thought to myself why I didn’t offer her an alternative when she asked me. Well I’ve come to know that it was her time and now is my time to give on behalf of her and to the ummah. For this reason, I’ve dedicated the Retreat Center as a Sadaqah Jariyah for Hajjah Aminah and to allow the center to be a place to help many brothers and sisters facing the same challenges that she did.
The Necessity for A Holistic Retreat Center In Islam
Muslims are suffering from chronic diseases at the same rate as the rest of the world, in spite of claiming to have the cure for all diseases.
Many Muslims DO NOT seek healthcare for their chronic illness due to their mistrust and belief that the cure is only found inside Prophetic traditional healing. So they go undiagnosed and untreated and they do not apply the complete method for traditional healing, therefore leaving them with a cure.
Many Muslims believe that their chronic illness is a test and trial from Allah or purification from wrong they’ve done, believing there is no cure for such situation except by Allah’s leave. Again, the problem is neglected and no cure is sought.
The number one cause for all of these chronic diseases in Muslim countries is OBESITY with the highest rate among women. “Studies indicate that up to 70 percent of women in the Gulf States are obese. According to The Economist magazine’s world rankings, the countries with the highest obesity rates among women are Muslim countries: 1. Qatar 2. Saudi Arabia 3. Lebanon.
There are hardly any Holistic Retreat Centers available that are based on Prophetic traditional healing for Muslims to retreat to and seek guidance.
Cancer has claimed the lives of many loved ones after many weeks, months and years of conventional treatment. Many family members would love to have an alternative for their loved ones when all else fails but unfortunately the Muslim community has not met this challenge.
The Aminah Retreat center will offer many Muslims and all others who are seeking a NATURAL path to healing, an opportunity that Hajjah Aminah and so many other brothers and sisters never had. A chance to cure their chronic diseases and change their lives forever.

WHY THE AMINAH HOLISTIC RETREAT CENTER IS ESSENTIAL AT THIS TIME?
§ The number one cause for most chronic disease is POOR NUTRITION and the second is related to LIFESTYLE. At the Retreat center we will enable people to make informed conscious choices about what they eat and we will provided them with the best organic food provided by Allah s.w.t., inshaAllah.
§ People have no idea what REAL nutrition is and why they are addicted to foods that are unhealthy for them. During retreat we will hold daily seminars, lectures, and tutorials about the best dietary habits that promote good health and rid the body of toxins and wastes that cause disease and illness.
§ The retreat center will offer the complete environment to foster healing and empower people to take their health into their own hands. It will be a place for anyone looking to detox and begin healing especially when their environment is not conducive to bring about such change.
§ Retreat centers are everywhere and many of them are offering alternative care for chronic disease. The Muslims must join this new wave and show the world we’ve been given this alternative over 1400 years ago in the desert of Arabia by a man who couldn’t read nor write.
§ IHOPE answers the fundamental question that most are afraid to pose. Why isn’t Islam holding true to its claim of having the cure for every disease? Why is the Muslim community plagued with all the modern disease as every other community? IHOPE answers theses questions and more from the Quran and Life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.a.w.s. at all retreats and offers viable solutions to this dilema.

A Testimony of Truth and Proof
In 2015 Bilqees my baby daughter swallowed a lithium battery that burnt a hole in her esophagus and trachea causing a fistula (opening between the two). She was disabled for 1 year unable to speak, walk, cry, eat or drink. The doctors said if she didn’t have surgery or return to the U.S. she would die. Bilqees was given a gastric feeding tube which we used to give her all live foods, herbs, spices and juices for over 7 months. She has been completely healed without any surgery.
