23.8 million people don't have clean water. That's over 3 in every 5 people. Over 4,500 children under 5 die a year from diarrhoea, caused by dirty water and poor toilets.
The small act of drinking water, something we take for granted every day and is a fundamental human right, is something that is a luxury for the people in Uganda.
People living in the slums of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, have no clean water. Their only choice is to fetch dirty disease-ridden water from a ditch, river or other unprotected water source nearby. These communities are confronted with deadly waterborne diseases. These diseases kill – they’re also preventable.
This why we want to make that small difference. With your help, we can raise enough money to fund a new well to be built in Uganda. Together we can save lives.
Saf, Imaan and Eve would really like everyone to donate as little £5. We would like to oversee this project our self with the hope of travelling to Uganda and making sure your charitable donation is part of a change for a better future.
We've teamed up with Cheapescapes in order to give one lucky donator a chance to win a holiday for themselves and two friends of their choice. In order to enter the competition, simply donate a minimum of £5, leaving your instagram/twitter @ or if you dont have social media, please leave an email address. The winner shall be picked at random (therefore contribution amount is not a weighing factor) on the 31st December.
