Bookshelves for Children's Library

I am Katharine Shao. I wanted to make books more readily available to the kids in the city of Detroit.  I launched  a book drive in the summer  of  2016.  With the help of numerous organizations, friends and neighbors, I collected over 20,000 chilldren's books for the Detroit Impact Center for  the development of a Children's Library, as well as distribution to the community at large.

We need funding for book shelves. Reading is one of the key initiatives of Detroit Impact. The organization has hosted multiple reading programs for youth throughout the years. Now thousands of books are in boxes. This makes it difficult for children to look over all their various choices. Your generous donations will get books organized on book shelves.
