Our Goal
We are embarking on a new and exciting chapter in the life of this rescue. We received our 501c3 status in April of 2012 and since that time we have rescued and placed in forever loving homes in excess of 400 animals. To say we are proud of what we have done is an understatement. Knowing that we could not have done any of this without all of the untiring volunteers and the generous donors is even a bigger understatement and we can’t thank everyone enough.
Our goal was never to make SCR&R the largest rescue in the area but to fill a niche by helping animals that need a little more time and special care before being placed in their forever home. Our problem is that many times we are asked to take in a special soul and with little to no notice finding a foster home is sometimes not possible. Having this kennel facility will allow us to temporarily house these special cases until we can find them a foster or forever home.
