"Build a Band at MBTA" Eagle Proj.

Hi everyone, My name is Chris VanOverberghe. I am 15 years old and currently a Life Scout at Troop 78 in Lincolnshire, IL. I'm trying to raise funds to support my Project to "Build a Band at Most Blessed Trinity Academy(MBTA). This is a school in Waukegan, IL and most of its students come from low income families which makes renting instruments to form a Band Program very difficult. Any money donates will be put towards purchasing new/used and refurbishing any of the instruments we receive from donations. It will also go towards the supplies to build instrument stands to keep the instruments safe and protected in the school so they can be used and enjoyed for many years to come. This cause is so important to me because Music has been perhaps one of the greatest impactors on my entire life. I play in a Band with a few friends and we've played gigs and restaurants which provides all of us with what I believe to be the greatest feeling in the world. I've gone on to learn more instruments and my passion only grows everyday. I was fortunate enough to have access and try multiple instruments before finding the one I enjoyed the most to pursue, but these kids don't have the option to even play an instrument at this point. That is what is driving this entire project, to be able to give that passion and enjoyment to kids who deserve to enjoy Music for themselves. The project has no strict deadline in the near future, but it is an Eagle Scout Project and must be completed before my 18th birthday which is March, 16th 2019. If you have any musical instruments you would like to donate we will accept ANY INSTRUMENT DONATION. I am extremely grateful for all donations I currently have and any future donations and I'm sure that these kids will be just as if not more grateful.
