Aiden's Army

Aiden's Army was established to honor the extraordinary life of our little man, Aiden
who fought a courageous battle against AT/RT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumors) for nine months following his diagnosis. Aiden was such a resilient little man who never cried despite the downfalls of his illness. Therefore, as his parents, we would just like to return a small token of the love Aiden recieved during his fight and help families focus on something other than the illness. The organization will provide toys, gift cards, gas cards, lunch, or any other items that might bring a smile to oncology and hematology children. Aiden earned his wings January 5, 2010 at 17 months; however, his memory is with us everyday.



Although, little man only reached 17 months in age, Aiden was an extraordinary child that showed the strength of a thousand men and never broke. It was a running joke between his nurses and physicians that Aiden never did anything by the book and he always challenged their work. I have been told by more than one physician, that our soldier has changed the way they practice medicine forever. Aiden’s strength, heart, courage, and blues eyes will forever linger in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew him. Therefore, in order to assure that his legacy continues we created The Aiden Marley Hughes Foundation because we felt he would want us to continue to change lives the way he did. A peice of his story is that we are 501c3 continously committed to raising funds year round to support childhood cancer and blood disorder patients, who enduree long-term inpatient stays.
