Dear friends and family:
My husband Chris Nieves has been sick for over the past two years and we cannot find a diagnosis. He has gained 35 lbs, has been dealing with insomnia, in addition to a multitude of symptoms. Chris is a Marine Corps Veteran who served for 5 years, was a law enforcement officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for 8 years and was a Special Agent with the ATF for the past 3 years. Due to his condition, he recently retired from the ATF which many of you know he had put his heart and soul into that career. We have been to countless doctors from all across the county and have not been given a clear diagnosis. We have heard everything from chronic fatigue, brain autonomic dysfunction among others. We spent our life savings, over $30,000 in medical bills last year alone trying to get to the root of the problem and heal him for good. He is my rock, my soul mate, the person I can’t imagine living my live without. On top of all this, he still manages to be an amazing father and would give anything for our family. I would never have imagined having to reach out to our network to ask for help, but we are to the point where we can’t do it alone. We are grateful for anything any of our friends and network can do to help us.
