Students with dyslexia usually have wonderfully unique gifts. But they may not reach their potential to use those gifts because they have not been given the chance to OVERCOME dyslexia. Banyan Tree has been helping students with learning challenges for over 20 years. Our goal is to provide this support to underserved parts of San Diego, helping students at-risk for school failure due to reading and learning problems, find success and achieve their goals!
#WeLoveTeachers! We need to provide training for teachers to become Dyslexia Therapists. This requires travel and tuition for certified courses. It also requires the additional materials to use as we take instruction to underserved areas, making help more accessible to those who need it.

*Jerry, an African American high school boy, is dyslexic and wants to be a writer. He was just accepted to several universities and will start in the fall 2017.
* Jose, a Hispanic high school student, is on track to graduate next year. He was failing, angry and at-risk for dropping out, until he got help for his reading and learning issues.
* Brent is a 5th grader whose severe dyslexia caused extreme frustration, requiring him to attend a school for students with learning problems. After 3 years of the right instruction, he is attending a charter school and successfully handling grade level curriculum. He is a gifted actor and artist!
