Brutus torn CCL recovery.
Donation protected
Brutus is my 4 1/2 year old Cane Corso. He has a tear in his Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL).
It is the animal equivalent of a blown knee or anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture in man. It is one of the most common causes of lameness in the hind limbs in large active dogs.
I will be trying a holistic approach to fixing his knee. With all the help from generous donations we were able to order a custom brace. This will take several months to rehab his CCL. During this time pain and joint medications will be used. This is a long road but I feel the best choice.
