Bruce's House Modification-Amputate

Donation protected
Hello, Twelve years ago I seperated from my ex spouse. My son, who was twelve years old at the time decided he wanted to remain with me. This thrilled me as I had always wanted to have children.
Less than one year after the seperation I had to suffer an amputation of my left leg after badly cutting one of my toenails. Because of the diabetes I have the leg was cut below the left knee. I spent a few months in a Rehab Centre in Laval. Eventually I was able to walk without the use of a cane. Wow this was incredible :)
I had previously registered on a dating site and on September 20th 2005 I received a message from a young lady living in Trois Rivières who liked my descrion and said that it would be fun to have a coffee with one another. The only problem was that she lived one hour and thirty minutes away. We enjoyed talking with one another so much that on September 27th (her birthday) she wanted to come by bus to see me. Well we met and after spending a few days together I drove her (Lucie) back to her home. Funny, but my birthday is on September 29th so we spent our birthdays together.
For the next three months we spent our days travelling back and forth along with my son Nicolas. Then in December after me asking her a couple of times she finally moved in with my son and I.
My handicap never seemed to be a problem for her and I always felt so much stronger with her next to me. I knew that she was going to be my wife. It is eleven years that we have been together and I have never felt better except for some of the sicknesses that I have experienced.
In 2013 at a music concert played by friends of ours I had discussed the possibility of proposing to her during the show. Well there was 850 people on hand who gave us a standing ovation. This was fantastic! By the way Lucie did say YES!!!.
Then in 2015 I came down with a couple of dangerous illnesses, calcification & panniculite. I went into the hospital during December 2015 and they treated me with anti-biotics but nothing was cured.
I was taken aback because during this Xmas perion I had set up a challenge of preparing 100 Xmas packages for the homeless. This was a success as we met our target and even more. Each package contained, tuques, gloves, socks, chocolates, soft drinks, chips candies, clementines and other small goodies...we also donated 22 turkeys, 20 cases of clementines etc...
On Xmas day Lucie & Nicolas went into Old Montreal to make the distribution.
Sadly my sickness and infection continued into the new year and this past September my other leg was amputation. This was a huge setback because now I was faced with either selling my house where I have lived for twenty-five years or make major modifications and purchase a van where I could easily drive on board and maybe eventually drive.
While living these setbacks we both decided that we still wanted to get married, that was still our goal. However with all of the anticipated expenses this was becoming further and further not unachievable.
This woman has stuck with me through all of this, spending six to seven hours a day at the hospital day in and day out. My son also spends almost every day with me.
I am so lucky to be loved so much!
And also by many friends who have supported me so much.
I am passioned by music and fortunate to have so many musical friends.
I would appreciate support by those who would help me live my dream by enabling us to continue living in our house and our dream in finally getting married and making us be a very happy and contented couple.

Many thanks,
