Cuurenly ranked #1 in FL and 22nd in the world for Skills, Team 6105C from Brookside Middle needs your help to attend three out- of -state competions. School budgets are tight for extra events... we need your help! These boys are exceptional and derserve the chance to compete. Any size donation is a step closer to making Sarasota County Schools proud.
Brookside Middle VEX Robotics Team 6105C /RawrXD is made up of five devoted eighth graders: Armand, Andreas, Cannon, Quinn and Rafael. They are ranked #1 Robotics Skills Team in the state of Florida. They are currently ranked 22nd in the WORLD for Robotic Skills. Team 6105C has also won just about every award that can be achieved at competitions this year, the Judges Award, Build Award, Design Award, Skills Award, Excellence Award and Tournament Champion. This team is a middle school team and have competed mostly against high school teams at many of the competitions.
They attended the State Championship Tournament in Tampa, winning the State Championship 14 matches undefeated. Walking away not only with The Championship Award but the The Skills Award and The Excellence Awards (the highest award possible). They are headed to compete at World Championships in Louisville KY (04/25-04/28) Last year they returned ranking 25th in the world up against the best world-wide teams including the Chinese known for their skills/advanced robots and ample government funding. For this reason, the boys decided to sacrafice their entire Spring Break and create a new robot to be more competive on an international level. At the recent States TSA/VEX in Orlando they also qualified for Nationals in Atlanta end of June.
The team recently returned from Create U.S. Open Robotics Tournament in Iowa (thanks to your donations) bringing home the Design Award and ranking 7th in Skills with the new improved robot. Their advisor Mr. Kaplan won The Advisor of the Year Award.

This year, Team 6105C has been recognized on the Sarasota County Schools and the Vex Robotics Facebook Page and featured in the Herald Tribune. Your generous contribution of any amount will help to secure the finances to send them to the three competitions; they merit a chance to attend these life enriching experiences. A more committed motivated team would be hard to find. These exceptional teens are our future and are paving themselves extraordinary career possibilities. They have concieved, designed, built and programmed not only one but a second robot in accordance with this year's " In the Zone" Competition Guidelines.

We thank those that helped last year to get Team 6105C/RawrXD to Worlds last year. Current donations will be attributed to the Worlds and Nationals in Atlanta end of June.(registration, booth fees, transport, parts,travel, lodging, meals, etc)
We have secured the funds for almost two but now it's three competitions soyour support is still needed.
