My name is Shannon, I created this page for my very dear friend, Brooks. He is a beautiful friend, son, and father who wants and needs our help. After almost 20 years he has come to accept that he has a serious problem with addiction and is genuinely ready to face it head-on at a rehabilitation treatment center. With the support of his friends, family, and medical professionals he's hopeful that he can start a NEW healthier, happier life.
I started this Go Fund Me in hopes of raising the remaining funds needed for his rehabilitation treatment. As we all know, rehab centers are outrageously expensive even for a 28-day stay. We have found a facility that he believes has the resources needed to start his road to recovery, "SERENITY" Thailand..
This rehabilitation center costs over 75% less than facilities in the U.S. Thankfully his family has funded what they are able to afford: the first 28 days along with a one-way ticket have been paid.
Hitting our goal will raise enough for him to stay another 60 days and his return ticket.
Brooks has struggled with addiction since childhood. It has negatively affected him, his beautiful children, family, and all that love him. He has the biggest heart of anyone I know, anyone who knows him will agree. He will do anything for anyone, and now he wants to give that love to himself... for the first time in his life.
Addiction is one of the hardest things to witness, yet even harder to endure. I am a true believer in that if we want this world we live in to be a better, brighter, loving place we need to be the change we want to see.
