Brooklyn Drive Fire Survivors

On April 27 2018 a 12 unit apartment building caught fire, leaving 12 families involving 20 family members and pets without a home. Everyone is safe which is the important thing however all of their possessions and personal items are gone. Imagine losing everything and standing by watching it burn up in smoke.  Multiple brigades were on scene quick but all was lost. All of the families stood and comforted one another along with neighbors and other family members offered support.   Premiere Self Storage has just donated a 10 by 20 storage place in their Truro Location to help receive donations of Material. Thanks to everyone who donated the items that we received. We are now focusing on monetary donations only to help cover moving costs and for the people to replace things they need.

Your cooperation is appreciated as well as your genorosity.

These people all have to cover many unexpected costs that otherwise would not have happened such as moving and replacing priceless memories that no value can be put on.

In the words of one of the tenants "Lots of displacement costs for all. A lot of stuff with smoke and water damage. Most upstairs tenants lost a lot more due to fire. We lost furniture and food in fridge in freezer and the cost of moving rental for three days. We had lots of great help from Family and friends. Thank God for all of our safety, cats are all found alive and on way to full recovery. Now to wash and clean the items we were able to move. Still have lots of laundry to do and emptying boxes and reorganizing in our new apartment." 

Other tenants did lose lots more and have to replace all of their items.
