Brooke's Battle for Life

Donation protected

My sister Brooke is deaf, legally blind in one eye, and is an energetic go-getter who is now battling cancer.

On February 22, 2016, Brooke landed in the hospital with blood clots in her pelvic region causing her leg to swell, This resulted in a diagnosis of stage 4b endometrial cancer.  She immediately began chemotherapy treatments that resulted in the tumors doubling in size 3 months after the last treatment. The Oncologist said that Brooke had less than a year to live and set her up with pallitiave care. Brooke began a new round of chemotherapy that the tumors seem to be responding well to.

In the meantime, Brooke hired an interpreter, Janna Clark, for an appointment & feels she was God sent. Janna told Brooke about her own mother, Ann Bruns, who had stage 3b colon cancer and began treatments at TriLife in Ft. Collins, CO, and is still cancer free a year later (post treatment)
. You can read her story on Caring Bridge.

The Tri-Life Treatment Center uses safe, scientific, and proven therapies to create a custom treatment program to meet the needs of each individual.  Her physician & owner of Tri-Life, Dr. Roger Billica, holds impressive credentials including several years as the NASA space program Chief of Medical Operations.

Brooke has begun treatments with this adjunctive cancer care program along with chemo therapy. These treatments address Circulating Tumor Cells as well as Cancer Stem Cells. However, it is not covered by health insurance. Every test, visit and treatment is paid out of Brooke's own pocket. The blood test, RGCC blood analysis (https://www.rgcc-group.com), cost almost $3,000 & will have this blood test again down the road.

Along with the ongoing physician fees, Brooke's recommended treatment plan at this time:
-IV Vitamin C in extremly high doses, bi-weekly
-Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, bi-weekly
-Various Labs
-Diet & nutrition consultations, bi-monthly
-Nutrients, monthly

Brooke's a highly motivated & positive person with tons of energy, and truly believes she is beating this cancer! She has amazed me through this entire process but she needs lots of financial help to pay for all of the Tri-Life treatments which begin 2/14/17.  Thus, the urgency of needed funds/donations is now.

An initial estimate of the cost for one year of treatments is $100,000.

Anything helps! If you can find it in your heart to help Brooke financially, Brooke's attitude will certainly do the rest! Thank you so much for your consideration.
