Although it may have seemed one of the many hallucinations of Burning Man, you must remember the detail and wonder of the Black Rock Lighthouse Service! Sunrises and sunsets, equally magical and spectacular, shared with friends or experienced solo, the Lighthouses were simply breathtaking. Don't you agree?
Believe it or not, building incredible art costs more than its weight! Although we burned that beauty to the ground, we are still digging our way out of a debt higher than the weight of our lumber.
The Lighthouses meant so much to so many people this year in Black Rock City. Did you marvel at the love and care that went into every Lighthouse, into every level and detail? Were the Lighthouses your wedding backdrop? Did you experience the awe and deep love we intended?
If you've been looking for a way to personally thank us, stay connected, or keep a bit of the magic with you, there is no better time than now. We're in critical need of help and every penny counts.
Please join us this coming Saturday, February 4 to raise some funds and celebrate this amazing project. Reignite the light inside you and come together to shine with all those whom shared in the magic.
There will be beautiful art for sale, including exclusive Lighthouse prints and a limited edition poster hand drawn by Max Poynton, the Lighthouse lead artist (sneak peak here: bit.ly/BRLS_Poster ). Color and B&W prints will be available at the fundraiser.
