Help During The Loss Of Their Baby

Donation protected

Hi I'm Brittnee's mom Sherry and feel horrible that I'm not there to help her more due to the fact that my husband was transferred and we are now living in Florida. I know how difficult things have been for them so I created this account for them !

As many of you know Brittnee and DJ found out last spring that they were expecting a little boy December 16, 2016. They were so excited to add another little boy to their beautiful family. From the very start Brittnee struggled with this pregnancy as she had severe hyperemesis gravidarum. It was so bad they put a PICC line in for about 2 months. It got better over time and then in July she had a week long hopital stay for kidney stone surgery. Then a month ago she started having deliberating migraines and her blood pressure was all over the charts. Since July she has been in and out of work due to all her health issues.  On September 7th about 9:30PM her water began having a leak. She was only 25.5 weeks pregnant this was known as PPROM (premature rupture of the membranes) she got to the hospital about midnight where she and DJ learned quickly she would now be in the hospital potentially and hopefully for the next 9 weeks on hospital bedrest.

On Monday September 12, 2016 at about 630AM Brittnee and DJ found out that they lost their son just under 27 weeks. On Sunday Brittnee had a horrible headache that had been going on for 2 days and just kept getting worse. About 8PM she started feeling worse she didn't think much of it just knew she didn't feel good. They did her hour of shift monitoriing of the baby from 7 to 8PM and Houston looked great his heartbeat was 135-145 no contractions no pain and her vitals were great everything looked good.  Not feeling great she fell asleep about 9 her headache had gotten worse and she just felt crappy. But her bitals were good and she had no fever. The night nurse woke her up about 6AM to do the monitoring for her shift and thats when things go bad.  She and 3 other nurses were searching for the babys heartbeat with the monitor and doppler with no luck. THey had Dr. Wahman and Dr. Kassing come and do an ultrasound and that's when they had to give Brit the heartbreaking news that their son was gone. DJ got to her by 7AM they cried, hugged and were just in shock just like the rest of our family! As the day went on Brit's health deteriorated quickly. She couldn't sit up and she couldn't get warm even with 3 blankets and DJ holding her.  She was still shaking, freezing and losing the circulation in her hands and feet. Some of this was stress and probably part of a panic attack. The gave her some pain meds for her headache which helped and stopped the shaking. They would have given her an epidural as labor intensfied but her blood pressure was dangerously low so she had to deliver without it! Before she delivered her blood pressure had dropped to 60s over 30s. Little Houston Jerome was stillborn about 4PM.

With all of the work that Brit has missed and not knowing for sure when she will be healthy, physically and mentally enough to go back after such a terrible and traumatic event, if anyone would like to contribute  to help with any expenses they might struggle with during this trying time, Brittnee and DJ could use our help! It would mean the world to our family if anyone could help even a dollar helps!
