Brittany's Medical Mystery Fund

My daughter Brittany began her medical mystery ride three years ago when at age 24, she was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri (Idiopathic intracranial hypertension). This mystery illness quickly took most of her eyesight. At that time, she was a student in cosmetology school who found her whole world turned upside down. After a long recovery, and with a positive attitude, Brittany began a new chapter in her life. She adjusted to her new life with low vision and found herself as "The Blind Barista" working at her local coffee shop. Her resilience, faith and strength continues to amaze me.
Unfortunately, she has now found herself back in the hospital with another episode of PTC/IIH. We still have no idea what is causing this condition as she does not fit the usual patient profile. We do not know if what little eyesight she has will remain. The hardest part for us to understand is not knowing what Brittany's future holds. Additional tests and eventually more surgery will be needed. Her remaining medical expenses not covered by insurance are beginning to add up.
Donations and prayers are needed now for Brittany as she moves forward to fight this illness.

This is a very difficult time for Brittany and our family. Asking for help makes it even more challenging. We are grateful for everything our friends and family have done to help in the last few years and we appreciate all of your continued support. Together we will get through this! We hope one day we will have answers to this illness for Brittany and also for anyone suffering with PTC/IIH.
