British Fire Brigade Ambulance Repairs

£420 of £8,500 goal

The British Fire Brigade in Peru was created by the British community and was established in 1873 with a charter from Queen Victoria herself.

For nearly 150 years it has been providing the community in Lima with a stoic group of volunteers that risk their lives on a daily basis. They receive no salary and even pay for their own uniform and equipment.

Apart from fighting fires on a daily basis, the brigade attends around 8 medical incidents a day. This equates to nearly 3000 medical emergencies a year!

Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, their ambulance is in urgent need of maintenance. Lives are being lost every day whilst the ambulance sits in a garage awaiting urgent attention.

With 60 generous donations of 150$ we can get this ambulance back on the road before the summer. Any amount is welcome and will help us make this a reality.

Please help us get their ambulance back on the road and the volunteers out saving lives! They need your help today, to save a life tomorrow.

Thank you for your donations so far! A great amount for only a few hours. I’ve attached the quote from the mechanic so people can see the mountain we’ve to climb. Also a few photos of the fearless volunteers were supporting so that they can continue to save lives!
