Help my mom

****Update:Unfortunately the burial will not be happening for Steve as his parents are refusing to do so and want to have him cremated and sent back to Miami. They originally told our mother that they could not afford a burial and if she could come up with the funds they would consider it. Of course, this is breaking our mother's heart and now she has to head back to Knoxville without him. At this point, any donations given, and any further donations will go to our mother. This will allow her to travel back home and give her some time to grieve as well as find a job as Steve always took care of her. If anyone feels they would like their money refunded please just let us know and we will make sure you get it back. This is such a trying time for our mother and our family and we need all the prayers we can get. Thank you to everyone for the love! ***End update. My mom, Ceecee Thomas, and her boyfriend, Steve Giron, were out enjoying a midnight kayaking trip last night when my mother capsized. Steve was not a strong swimmer but he tried to help my mother which resulted in his untimely death. They were on vacation visiting family members in Michigan, where my mom is from. Their home is in Knoxville, TN. Steve loved the mountains and they were suppose to be coming home this week. My mom and family cannot afford these expenses , and just two weeks prior we lost our dear cousin unexpectedly. This has us all in shambles and we would appreciate any help that can be spared. My mom just wants to get him home and give him a proper burial like he wanted, she cant bear the thought of not being able to visit him or him being so far away from home. Steve was not close with his family and does not have many friends who are able to help support, my mom was his only and best friend. We know the expenses are going to be grand considering we have to transport him across states, on top of the funeral expenses and other varying factors, but we are trying to set the bar low as we are worried we may not be able to make it. The transport fees alone vary between 1,000-5,000. Steve loved my mother very much and made her a very happy woman. He only wanted to protect her and they were truly a match made in heaven. We also loved Steve, and hope to get him back home with my mother.
