We are finally after 2 years of ups and downs, 3 different hospitals, and 2 transplants getting ready to come home. We anticipate this to be happening in mid March.
As we begin this transition we will still be traveling to Nashville a couple times a week. Because his graft from the bone marrow is shaky at best we will need to replace a lot of things in our home that could potentially make him sick. Everything needs to be fresh and clean. All food in the house has had to be thrown out and everything will need to be restocked.
Even though he is out and past the 100 days, he is not recovered like a typical BMT patient. He is unable to walk and do a lot of things for himself. This will require some home care and equipment. Some covered and some not by the insurance. We’re asking for help with lump expenses of getting everything ready for him!
