Bringing Jazz & Joy to My Homeland

This is my wife, Brenda Morley. I'm managing a Go Fund Me campaign on her behalf. I didn't mean to post the same photo twice, but by the time I figure out how to delete it, it will be too late to tell anyone about the amazing opportunity she's been given to play trumpet with the Nashville-based Metro Big Band on a tour of southern Poland this month. She has Eastern European ancestors (which is how she ended up with the birth name of Kowalski, a fine, hearty example of an Eastern European name), and she couldn't be more enthusiastic about going there to participate in a cultural exchange. The band will team with a native Polish vocal group for a series of performances and to record a live album. Hundreds, at least, will enjoy the uplifting live concerts, while potentially thousands will experience the music after the fact, via the recording.

With the trip just days away, why are you only seeing this campaign now? Well, partly because I only just learned how easy it is to use Go Fund Me (except for the deleting photos part ...), and partly because we still want to give friends and interested others (that is, new friends we don't know yet) a chance to participate in sending this very passionate musician to her homeland to spread some musical joy.  In accepting the opportunity to travel to Poland, Brenda took a big step of faith. If it would please you to know you are a part of the power behind the notes that will reach the other side of the globe and bring blessings through Brenda and her fellow musicians, it would mean a lot to us both.
