Bringing Jacob Home

Donation protected
On February 3rd, 2019, The Stechmann Family tragically lost their oldest son Jacob in an accident while he was living in Hawaii. There are so many unanswered questions and raw emotions as the family deals with trying to pick up the pieces and put a timeline together of the events that have occurred.

What we know at this time:  The Stechmann family needs to fly to Hawaii to deal with an open investigation.  They need to book a hotel (for an extended amount of time), book flights (round-trip), possibly stay as long as they can until they get the answers their family deserves, not to mention the time lost at work.  The family is expected to fly out sometime in the next week to Hawaii and try to make sense of this heartbreaking situation.  It is hard to estimate the cost of Bringing Jacob Home because there are so many moving parts at this time.  It is hard to describe the many emotions that are going through the minds of the Stechmann family, they are completely devastated.

Jacob loved life, He loved his family, he loved all things NOLA, he loved his Holy Cross brothers & LA Tech community & and he especially loved Mardi Gras. His favorite person in the world was his sweet Godchild Amelia.  He was the best brother, son, paran & friend anyone could ask for.   With all of the unexpected expenses of traveling and having to Bring Jacob Home, Please consider making a donation to help support this wonderful family!

Please note that I, Alicia Lagarde Craig, want to have full transparency regarding the 'Bringing Jacob Home' campaign.  GoFundMe asked that I share 2 things with you:

1. The name of the person you added as the beneficiary - I have made Jessica Stechmann Faust, Jacob Stechmann's sister,
the beneficiary of this campaign.  Jessica and I have known each other since high school and now as adults, I also have the pleasure of her living right next door to me.  She is doing to best she can to pull her family through this tragedy and I am helping her to the best of my ability.  I am just the person who set up this campaign, all of you wonderful people are the reason that this campaign has reached the success it has and I think it speaks volumes to how many people truly loved Jacob.

2. How they are connected to the campaign - Jessica is connected to the campaign because she is Jacob's sister. As I stated above, she is handling the logistics for Bringing Jacob Home.
