Help Change Ysmel's Life

Over the past year, I've been playing an online video game called Star Wars - The Old Republic and in the course of my adventures, have met some incredible people. At the top of that list is Ysmel Garcia, or 'Healz' as he is known in-game. I'm starting this campaign to help get him out of his socially, politically and economically ravaged homeland of Venezuela, so he can make a fresh start here, in the US. 
I asked him to write about himself and what this campaign will mean to him. What follows are his own words.

"You could talk about my work, I'm an orderly (or patient care assistant with a diploma), mostly work with disabled and elderly patients. Looking to become a physical therapist someday, I was in med school but had to drop out because the government refused to give us a steady place for us to study and no steady schedules meant it was impossible to study and keep my job and if I don't have a job I can't pay my time at the university.

"The political instability in my country, the day to day dangers (getting mugged in broad day light or worse), devaluated currency, hour long lines to buy products of basic needs wich sometimes you can't even find at all, hour long power outages and the impossiblity to continue my studies has lead me to try and find ways to help my family and the only way is to leave the country, but it's become increasingly difficult to emigrate because the government itself finds new ways to make it harder and nearly impossible for people to leave.

"I live in a city called Punto Fijo, 3 years ago the explosion at the refinery nearby cracked the walls and the other rooms are small so I can't move to them, also because of the aforementioned devaluated currency, getting materials to repair the damage is well beyond my means.

"My friend Luke offered me asylum at his place and all the money that's being asked will be used for the travel and to buy food, clothes and any possible expenses that could arise from getting my visa or work permit."
