Bring Sawyer Home

Donation protected
My story starts at the beginning of this year 2018. I went to Phoenix Arizona to be there for and spend time with my sick Mom. I spent 18 days with her in January. During this time my Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. At the time I didn’t know that this was going to be my quality time with her.

While being there My dog Maska and I had built a strong bond with my mom’s dog Sawyer an amazingly kind loving dog. Sawyer loves Maska and just loved having Maska and I around giving him all the love he needed. Enjoying the time, we were there.

My older brother and his wife helped me in coming back out in February. Which I returned on Feb. 13th to March 13th. On this visit I had thought that I was going to be helping my mom through her chemo, help her eat better, help her wherever she needed help and just to be with her.

When I arrived on the 13th Feb. my mom was back in the hospital with more blood clots. She was in there for about a week and a half getting the clots fixed. She came home for 2 nights before she returned to the hospital for even more clots. Now the doctors had started to take her off all her medications except the pain killer. She was in so much pain from the clots and the cancer. She spent another week in the hospital. During this time, they were talking about Hospice and getting her home. My mom came home on a Sunday all set up with Hospice in the home. The next 4.5 days were extremely hard for all us family members. I was the caregiver for most of the time. We all spent time with her. During this time, I had talked to mom about Sawyer, letting her know that if Sawyer had nowhere to go and all else failed that Jamie and I would bring him home to us in Oregon. To be with 2 other dogs and a super loving caring family.

Our mom died on March 2nd at 12:21am. Now with our mom gone Sawyer is now in a home where he doesn’t get much, if any attention. He is fed and let out to go potty but that’s it. But doesn’t get the dog love he needs.

I’m asking for any help to raise 500 dollars to bring Sawyer home to his new family. This money is going to the pet deposit and for the travel expenses it’s going to take to meet and get Sawyer to Oregon. Anything will help us get to this goal. Our goal is to get him here by July. Being without my mom and knowing that she gave the world to Sawyer. I know that he needs to be here with us and allow my grieving to continue.

Thank you for reading my story and for helping where you can. Sawyer means the world to me and I just want to get him home to us.
