This gofundme was made by Sarah’s friends from a gaming community called Dofus, where Sarah has been a loved member for over a decade. Many in the community have served as a second family, and she has forever changed our lives for the better. We hope that those visiting this gofundme from outside our community will be able to see just how far and how expansive Sarah’s love was able to reach - all across the world. We hope her joy and love inspires you as it has inspired us.
Sarah Papenheim, who many of you know as Wink-Wink on Dofus, passed on Wednesday at the hands of her roommate. Sarah was a bright, kind, thoughtful, beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many people including those in our community here. Her family wants to bring her home but they are unable to afford the cost of the transportation, which is estimated to be around 40,000 USD. Sarah has been a member of our community for over 10 years and she has become more than a friend to so many of us. Those who knew her know of her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She has helped her Dofus family through trauma and heartache countless times, a pillar of love and support for so many in our community.
After her brother’s suicide, Sarah tried to find understanding. Instead of letting the pain consume her, she perservered and moved to the Netherlands to attend a prestigious University to study Psychology so she could better empathize with others suffering from mental illness and be better prepared to help them. Sarah feared for her safety living with an unstable roommate/friend significantly in the week leading up to the episode, and her mother pleaded with her to leave. Sarah refused because she wanted to help him, as she has helped so many others. Sarah was a bright light in this world. She deserves to be laid to rest surrounded by her loved ones. Let’s help bring Sarah home to her family. Anything helps, thank you.

When Sarah found out about this, and as enthusiastic as she was, she wanted to meet up. From this first meet-up I was immediately in love. “A couple of us had the pleasure to meet Sarah a couple years back in Brussels...We had such an amazing time with her, and me and her tried our best to cook for the lot of us. Unfortunately the kitchen was terribly small and all we had was pots, not a single pan. She wanted to make baked potatoes and we ended up burning them to the bottom of the pot. It was a sad sight which we could only laugh about. @Jodx still complained to this day how he had to clean up our mess. And Sarah and I promised that the next time we meet we’d take our own pans...She was a sweetheart of a person, she cared so much for everyone around her, struggled with her work and her studying...
