ChiChi is currently living in the South, being fostered by Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue, LLC.
At ten weeks of age, she was adopted by a family who kept her as their pet for ten years. Inexplicably, they surrendered her to a shelter at age ten. She is a healthy, happy, albeit confused and shy, dog who is looking for a permanent home. She is perfectly healthy, now that she is undergoing heartworm treatment. As a "senior," black dog, her chances of being adopted are lower than a younger dog or a light-colored dog. (See "black dog syndrome.")
I am setting up this gofundme in hopes of raising enough money to cover her transportation, routine veterinary, food, and flea/tick prevention costs, and other sundry expenses for two years.
