Transforming into The Beautiful World Center
...Enter for the joy of it!
Won't you join us? Science is proving our alive and interconnected nature. People of all backgrounds, traditions, and ages are coming together at Bridget Center for 'common ground to grow on' to cultivate remembered connection. This natural sanctuary offers the needed spaciousness where healing happens!
We are a 501c3 charitable organization promoting peace, nourishment and sustainability for those who seek wholeness, no matter their means, serving the Kettle Moraine Area of Southeastern Wisconsin, and beyond!
Resiliancy happens through cultivating community space as we 'bridge' concious global community, with awesome, local, Kewaskum hospitality!
This 100+-year-old, hand-chiseled, stone building intends to be The Beautiful World Center, (formerly St. Bridget School). It closed 60 years ago and is in great need of repair to house the new. We wish to recapture the loving, playful energy of the past, here and now, serving with heart. The intention is to house: a local eatery; teaching kitchen; lodging; multipurpose learning space; healing room and meditation/prayer space. Workshops, retreats, products, and services are designed to assist lifestyle changes for simple, holistic, compassionate living to grow inner peace and ease, offer nourishment for body, mind, spirit, and access sustainability through a resilient community now forming. Check out BridgetCener.Org to learn all the ways to participate!
We wish to model sustainable practices based on permaculture principles, This is our first crowdfunding campaign. We request your prayer intentions, resourcefulness, and financial support to accomplish the following:
-finish paying for the new metal roof by 01/02/18.
-asbestos mitigation,
-mold remediation,
-foundation work, (gravel basement, add sump pump),
-and new preliminary plans/permits
Today is 12/23/18 and we need $13,850 by 1/2/18.
We welcome participation
The Inner Gardens are home to the Community Apothecary and The Outer Gardens are intended for Green Burial. The Sanctuary, (former chapel building), offers a place for silence and song, solitude and movement. The legal Outhouse is for contemplation and releasing what no longer serves!
Governed by Sociocracy. Nonviolent Communication is practiced here to grow compassion.
Since September 2017, $21,250 has been raised for the downpayment of the roof. These collected funds are not reflected in the capital campaign request. Mission driven, donor supported.
'Very great change starts from
very small conversations,
held among people who care.'
Margaret J. Wheatley
We will keep you connected to Bridget Center emerging through future funding campaigns. Thank you for your generous and cheerful support!
