Memorial for Bridget T Pozo

Donation protected
Bridget lost her battle with Sjogren Syndrome on Friday March 29, 2019.  It was time for Bridget to go home.  Bridget was loved by everyone who knew her.

In 2003, while pregnant with her first son, she began experiencing shortness of breath.  Her doctors attributed it to her asthma and a typical part of pregnancy.  Seven years later, she was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, which caused pulmonary fibrosis.  By the time her illness was discovered, her lungs had been severely scarred and damaged. In April of 2013, she received a double lung transplant and bounced back from surgery.  On March 29, the complications with her transplant became just too much for her to fight.  She leaves behind her two son's Allen and Seirus Polanco.

She was a mother, daughter, friend, and the most resilient loving woman you could ever meet.  The word "quitting" was just not in her vocabulary.  She got things done with a positive, radiant stride.  She was such a brave fighter that no one thought she might not beat this too.  She wanted to be known as a fighter.  Everything she did and accomplished was for her family, she dreamed big for her family.  She celebrated life in such a way.  Bridget enjoyed life and never took it for granted.

If you would like to help her family by giving a donation for upcoming  funeral, family and medical expenses.  Please donate and share the link.
