Brian's Story:
Brian and Janell have been married for 17 years. They have 3 amazing kids, Bentley is 14 and has (high functioning) Autism. Their second son, Grayson is 12 and beautiful daughter, AvaGrace is 9.
In 2007 Brian was diagnosed with Leukemia and underwent a Bone Marrow Transplant.
He became ill again in December 2015 and was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma liver cancer. On January 18, 2016.
He completed 8 rounds of chemotherapy, December through July, followed by a "chemo holiday". Restarting chemo in December 2016 only to find out that it has not worked as well as the first regimen.
His Dr. ordered a brain MRI and they found that the cancer has metastasized (spread) to his brain. This is a very serious condition/situation and the prognosis is poor. He is to start radiation soon.
Janell works part-time at MUSC's Children's Hospital and is slated to graduate May 4th from Trident Technical College's nursing program. It is very important that she finish this program.
