Brian's Support and Recovery Fund

Our 30-year-old son, brother, nephew, and grandson, Brian Stephens, who works for PWC in Chicago, was on a business trip to New York City last week when he developed a severe headache. He went to New York University Hospital, where he had extensive testing, including MRIs and CAT scans, which showed an aggressive brain tumor. He underwent emergency surgery which lasted over nine hours. His parents and other family members flew to New York to be with him last week and have been there since. The recent biopsy indicated that the diagnosis was medulloblastoma. The recovery will be lengthy, including not only further treatment for the cancer, but a variety of OT, PT, and speech therapies that will likely last months in NY and Ohio. This recovery will entail extensive participation by a number of family members who are not from the NY area. As many of you know, Brian is a kind, caring, loving, hard-working, generous, and devoted family-member and co-worker who provides joy to many people’s lives. Many friends have asked how they can help Brian and Brian’s family during the upcoming months with treatment, travel, and accommodations. Your contributions are so greatly appreciated and will help in so many ways – thank you for your love and support during this very difficult time.
