Brian Loring's Medical Fund

My name is Cindy Loring. Our son Brian Loring, who lives in South Lake Tahoe, was snowboarding on Sunday, April 30th.  While on his way down the mountain, he encountered another skier and attempted to avoid a collision. Although he was able to prevent injury to another, he crashed into a tree, was seriously injured and airlifted to the nearest trauma center. 
Brian sustained several cracked ribs and severe injuries to both legs. Surgery to repair the multiple fractures to the left femur resulted in a rod being inserted. His right shattered kneecap required a metal plate screwed in place. After hospitalization, he will require extensive medical intervention and support.
Brian has always been a hard worker. His long hours of seasonal employment allowed him to pursue his passions of snowboarding and hiking, including many National Parks. Brian was scheduled to return to work on May 2nd, but now he will be unable to work for some time. Unfortunately, his insurance plan will not cover many of the services and support he will need. Brian and our entire family appreciate your loving concern, support and generousity. I will keep you posted on his progress.
