Brett Boyd's First Album
After starting to play semi-professionally at age 16, I enjoyed playing live so much, I never recorded an album. In my early twenties I had minor successes singing with the legendary Les Paul, George Benson, doing a mini-tour with Phil Crosby Jr. (The grandson of Bing Crosby), and writing a song that was nearly selected for a Liza Minnelli comeback. Singing on an episode of "The Bill Cunningham Show" got me nowhere fast, but I kept on trying! After a bizarre hospitalization for a stomach operation, I became swallowed up in the grips of addiction to pain medicine. All the progress I seemed to be making was at a standstill; the addiction took my desire to create and recreate. My passion for ministry and song took a backseat to the only thing that was important at that time: MORE MEDICINE. The addiction tarnished my reputation somewhat, and took me mostly off the grid for the last 5 years, but I am back now, stronger than ever, and willing to give my all so I can put out only the BEST for my listeners. My vision is a collection of inspirational songs, gospel and love songs (really the same thing to me), that connect the listener with a power greater than themselves. pThe only way to do this THOROUGHLY, is by recording in a studio, which requires finances that I don't have all of, YET. If anyone would be willing to invest in this project, my FIRST REAL ALBUM, you will not be disappointed; unless you're expecting an album of SLAYER covers, then maybe. So please consider contributing to what has long been my dream, recording a full-length album.
