I am Roger Stotts and I am campaigning for my wife Brenda.  It is my hope to raise enough money to modify our bathroom to accommodate her needs.  Also, to get her a special lift chair and any other rehab needs. In 2008 Brenda had a heart transplant at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Az. She had been asthmatic most of her adult life prior to the transplant. After the transplant the asthma miraculously went away. Two months ago she started having what she thought was asthmatic symptoms and went to her primary care doctor who gave her some RX's. It got worse and getting no relief from current asthma medication returned to her doctor. Upon exam the doctor found no signs of asthma but  had a very high heart beat rate. The doctor suggested heart failure and to report to the ER right away. After arriving at Mayo Clinic it was determined to be blood clots in her lungs and she was admitted. A few days after treating her with Heparin and Warfarin it was determined safe to send her home with self-injecting blood thinner. Six days later on 12/19, in severe pain, she returned to Mayo. Suffering from internal bleeding she was immediately listed as critical. As a result of massive blood loss, a total of 13 units of blood was administered and ended up loose in her stomach. Pressure from the massive blood caused her kidneys to shut down and required dialysis and a risky surgery to insert drainage tubes. As a combining result she has lost mobility and developed AFIB  and diabetes. It will take some time for the blood to absorb back into her body and even then she will require assistance in her everyday processes.

At this time, we realize she will need a handicapped bathroom and lift chair, at minimal, to help ensure a quality of life. She will need extensive rehabilitation to overcome the stay in the hospital. The doctors are saying she will require in-patient physical therapy as well as continued out-patient rehabilitation. We are both retired and on social security benefits with limited income. She has Medicare and we do not know how much Obamacare will cover. I am a proud man and would never ask for monetary help, but this is my wife of 52 years and I will beg for her well-being if necessary. Thank God, he pulled her through, as it was touch and go for 9 whole days. I want to thank all of you for your help and support as she does. Your prayers have been monumental.  Please Like and Share this with all your friends and ask them to Like and Share with all their friends.  If 2,000 people donated $5.00 each our goal would be reached.....Thanking you in advance, Roger Stotts
