Last June I was honored to be chosen as a Volunteer by Viatores Christi to go to Haiti to set up a Computer Training Project for Teachers , School Children and Local People in North West Haiti. This area is 300km from the Capital City of Port au Prince, which takes 7 - 8 hours to get there because of the very very bad roads .
It is now 10 months into the project, the computer rooms are all up and running local teachers, have been trained and are teaching the school children, local women, school principles and teachers. This is a funded project by Viatores Christi and Miscean Cara, but the funding is only for 1 year, we are applying for another year but that won't be available until later this year, if we are successful.
Due to your generous donations through the go fund me page and local donations, I was able to buy office supplies and equipment, fund some students to stay at school, give classes to people with special needs, so Thank you all so so much.
With your help I would like to stay on for the summer to continue the work and give more people the chance to learn computers.
