Samantha Penman_Mum of 3_Terminal TN Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Samantha Penman and I've just been given the devastating news that my Pregnancy Associated Triple Negative Breast Cancer has spread to my lungs and chest wall.

As it is secondary breast cancer it is terminal, and I'm desperate to try any supplements or diets that may just help me live a little bit longer.

I know that it can't be cured, but I just wanted to spend some time with my very small children, to make some memories and help them to remember me.

I'm 38 years old and my children are now 9 months, two years, and 3 years + 10 months (it's a fun, noisy house!).

I have fallen behind with my rent and council tax and there are so many natural remedies to try like CBD oil, but they are extremely expensive.

As you can imagine I am desperate to try anything, although I will still be having chemo and more rads.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

BACK STORY

I was diagnosed with pregnancy associated triple negative breast cancer in October 2017, at 16 weeks gestation. I had chemo whilst still pregnant as was advised that it was safe. All did go well in the beginning but then at 36 weeks my little one starting having unusual scan readings so I was advised to induce that weekend.

I then had surgery on my breast to remove the cancer, followed by 15 radiation treatments plus a four day boost to the area as it was very aggressive.

I was then told that I was cancer free and I proceeded to put my life back on track with my three small children. My eldest started nursery in September, life was going great, accept for an area of pain in my ribs on my right side.

After a bone scan, CT scan, MRI, and finally a PET CT scan two nodules were found in my lung.

I had surgery on Monday 12th November 2018 to remove the two nodules but once they got inside my lung they found out that my lymph nodes and chest wall had multiple cancer cells and tumors, and therefore far worse than any of us were expecting.

I really desperately need to raise some money so I can pay my outstanding bills and to try to cover some of next month as well

I thank you in advance for absolutely anything you can help me with. I am writing this out of pure desperation so I apologise if anyone is offended by my asking for help.

Also I just wanted to add that most of us know the symptoms of breast cancer (lumps, changes to shape of breast, discharge from nipple amongst others). But I had no symptoms except PAIN, nothing at all but pain. Every GP, nurse, midwife, and even the breast surgeon told me that breast cancer was very unlikely to be causing the pain.

Everyone please, know your own body and be your own advocate. If something isn't normal for YOU then get yourself checked out and don't be put off. Also please remember that men can get breast cancer too. But please men and women just know your entire body and be sure to get anything abnormal for YOU checked out. I was told by my oncologist that two weeks is the cut off, so if something doesn't get better after two weeks then get it checked out.
