Breakthrough's First Worship Album

Breakthrough is embarking on a new adventure. We are recording our very first worship album!

There have always been two sides to this band—the rock band and the worship band. We began as a worship team and, after a year of playing worship music by many talented artists, we felt led to strike out on what has become the most thrilling part of our lives. Writing and performing our own music.

Out of the many amazing people we have met since Breakthrough started, there is one particular group that seems to be ever-growing. This group is defined by a single oft-asked question: "When will Breakthrough pursue a worship album?" To that group, we can finally say NOW. It is time for us to step out of the boat once again and try something new with this next album.

As many of you know, Breakthrough leads worship together every Sunday. We get to play music that we love by artists that we respect and admire, but in order to stay true to our desire to give God OUR best, we are choosing to write this new album on our own. We sought the Lord's direction in writing and we know that He has been faithful to answer those prayers. We cannot wait to share these new songs with you!

We are very excited to say that we are going to be able to work with our first-choice studio (The Library in Minneapolis, MN). Matt Patrick, the owner, is a talented engineer and producer. At $60 an hour, Matt's price is more than fair. However, we still want to be able to put the most effort and hours into the recording process that we can. We have received a good deal of support and positive feedback from our fan-family over the years. As a gesture of thanks, we want to be able to present you with the best album that we can record. In order to do that, we are asking for $5000 in donations.
There is no pressure here. Every little bit buys more studio time than we had before. We are excited about this album, the writing process is finished, and it is just a matter of getting the songs recorded and out to be heard.

We thank you all for your continual love and support over the years. You mean more to us than you are aware! You’ve been there through the incredibly good times and the remarkably bad. You never gave up. We will continue to give you our best in return. Thank you for considering us.
We love you all!

Hey, everyone! We're uploading a NEW song for you at 12 PM CST. SURPRISE! Like with Highest, we're waiting for iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, etc to approve it. We'll let you know when it becomes available on those platforms. If you like it, you will be able to purchase it from CDBaby.com. We'll provide a link when we upload the song.

If you'd like to hear the ENTIRE CD right now, please check out our GoFundMe campaign. It's still live. We WERE able to pay for the new album in its entirety. Done! So thank you! However, we'd still like to create more things in support of this album. Things like a music video, shirts, and other merch. If you'd like to contribute, please check out our campaign and donate a few dollars. Anyone who donates will receive a copy of the new album. Donations under $10 will receive a digital copy. Donations of $10 or more will receive both a physical and digital copy of the new CD. Digital copies will be emailed out immediately.

The CD release party is fast approaching. It feels like it was only last week that we announced the release date. Please check out Breakthroughrocks.com/Tour OR Facebook.com/Breakthroughrocks for event details.

If you have NOT yet checked out the clip we uploaded yesterday, you can find it here. We hope you like it! We hope you like it. We went a slightly different direction with this one.

Thanks for reading the update! We love and appreciate all of you.

Big update for you! We go to pick up the first order of CD's on Monday. After that, it's a matter of coordinating schedules with the places that offered to host our CD release parties. Yep, parties. Plural. We are looking to have 3 CD release parties in Minnesota. Maybe more. Right now, we're planning for Northfield, Rochester, and the Twin Cities area. If you, your church, or you local venue would be interested in hosting a Breakthrough CD release show, please PM me. Thank you! By the way, there are rumors going around that Europe may get an earlier release date.

We're hoping to have a radio single out soon. You'll be able to hear it first on KNLW 98.9 FM. If you're not from Southern MN, just go to knlw.org and listen online.

Thanks again to all of our supporters. We credit you with making this CD possible. You asked for it and you helped it come to be. It's crazy to think that in a matter of days, we'll be holding the final product in our hands. We started our writing sessions back in May 2015. All things considered, that is a fast turn around. So thank you for your help and support!

Don't forget that Breakthrough will be performing our first concert of the year on Feb 13th. The concert will be held in Goodhue, MN. We will be supporting our brothers in Light45. It will be a great show. We hope to see you all there!

Great news! We are in the home stretch. The lyrics, thank you's, and production credit have been submitted to the gentleman (and scholar) who designed the album cover and booklet.

Mastering is also done. The songs are in their final form.

With those things done, it's a simple matter of getting the files over to the company who will make the physical copies.

Things are coming together. You'll be hearing new music in no time. Speaking of hearing new music, we will be playing several of those new songs at a concert on Feb 13th in Goodhue, MN. Head over to Breakthroughrocks.com/tour for more details.
