Breanna is a loving, spunky individual. She is one of the sweetest and caring people I know and  is so full of life. Breanna has the dream after high school to become a Physical  therapist.  She recently made the Wolf Den gymnastics  competition  team and would be starting 9th grade this fall but on June 22, 2018 while Traveling with her father to see family in northern Wisconsin my 14 year old cousin's life would change. Breanna and her father Arthur were involved in a very serious car accident. Breanna's side of truck got hit by another truck who crossed over the double yellow lines at highway speeds. She was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St Paul and  has sustained a very bad brain injury, at least several fractures to her skull, both her legs were broken and almost her whole left side is broken.  Breanna is Currently in a medical induced coma to control her brain swelling in the ICU a Gillette Children's Hospital. Its a waiting game every day to see if she has any improvement. Breanna has undergone multiple surgeries since the accident and  there  are more to come.
During this horrific time for Breanna's family I am trying to help  relieve some of the burden they are  having  to face with her medical bills that are being accumulated when they need to be focusing on her. Breanna has a very long road ahead of her and is not out of the woods yet.I would love to be able to help this great family  out but I cant do it alone so I am asking for help. Please help me help this family relieve some of the financial stress they are facing . Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping this family out.

THANK YOU MESSAGE FROM BRE'S:
We as a family truly want to thank each and every one of you for all the prayers, love and support as well as generosity in so many ways offered to all of us. This truly is a dark time in our lives. During this horrible and difficult time all of you have shown us glimpses of light, so many forms of love, within our darkness. We know this pain will not just vanish and the road to healing will be long, but we know we are not alone on this journey. It has been so beautiful to know Breanna was loved and thought of by so many, not just us. So we thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts......

A MESSAGE FROM BRE'S MOM:

Last night we were given the legal and formal diagnosis according to federal law. Breanna gained her angel wings at 7:13pm on July 2, 2018. Her brain wave tests showed that she no longer had any further activity and there was no longer any blood flowing to her brain's vessels due to all the swelling. Many people may say they don't agree, or ask us why we did not get a second opinion, but we have been here watching all the signs, seeing all the results and looking at all the documentation and the images of her scans. This hospital and staff have been amazing and have been crying right beside us because they too wanted so much for there to be a better outcome. But it was beyond human control and it was tragic all the way around.

Through all of this we have asked God for guidance and understanding. We still are not understanding and probably never will, but we feel He knew what a special and unique young lady she was and she was created to touch lives and she has done that. We are hearing from so many people, people that have just met her, how she showed them in those brief moments just what type of person she was and what kind of heart she had. She loved to show joy to others and give when she could. We are still amazed that with how mangled her little body was, that everything inside her was perfect. All except her brain, that was not repairable. But all her vital organs had not one thing wrong with her. So we know what Breanna would have wanted. She would have wanted to give, just as she always has, from making things onto writing things, onto just buying little mementos that tells others she was thinking of them. She was a gift giver and whenever she had money she would spend it on others instead of herself. So we had no doubt she would want to continue giving gifts. So our beautiful little girl is going to give the greatest gift possible. The gift of life...... We have been told by the doctors that she has potential to help over 100 people....... That is 100 lives changed by our little girl. She would be so very happy knowing that she could do that for so many, that they would be smiling in her honor. She is not just our daughter, but my little light, my little fighter, and truly my inspiration...... A true hero.......

I understand that many may not agree with this decision for us to help others, but we know in our hearts that is exactly what Breanna would have wanted, only because we have had family members in our family that would not be here today if not for a gift from a donor. She used to talk to me and her sister about it all the time and she knew that I have it on my license that I am a donor and her sister too put it on hers. Breanna used to tell us that when she was old enough and got her license she too wanted to do the same. So we know beyond any doubt that this is something she would have wanted.

Over 100 lives touched by our little girl.........100 families given hope from our tragedy.....

Now we wait at the hospital for a few more days until all the recipients are matched and notified, then we will know when she will be taken for surgery. She truly is my life and I have always been proud of her and that will never stop. I just hope that one day we will hear her success stories lived through others......

Update from bre's mom: The latest scans and tests they have done now show Breanna no longer has any brain activity. So she has been declared medically brain dead. She is currently still on a ventalator but they have been removing her from all sedation medications to see if there is any kind of responses at all. Her pupils no longer reacct. She will never breathe on her own, but they need to be certain of that so they are giving her all opportunity to show us and the drs if there is any sign she may be responsive. But with the scan results the way they are reading, we are trying to digest the fact that there probably will not be any reactions. We do not want our baby living on machines if there is no way possibly for her to ever breathe on her own. If the swelling would have stopped, it would have been possible. But because it hasn't, the outcome is not in our favor.......my heart is broken and none of our lives will ever be the same....... i will update with final details as we know them.........
