Brandon Evans Guitar Repair Flood Damage Fund

Donation protected
There were many families, properties and businesses affected by the flooding this last week in SE Minnesota. One such small business was Evans Guitar Repair. In the last few years local luthier Brandon Evans and his business have become a staple of the Rochester music scene. Working with local businesses like Pure Rock Studios and Schmitt Music, Brandon has built a loyal customer base, and has probably worked on an instrument that you have seen being played live around the area. He is known for his craftsmanship, professionalism, and prompt quality work.

This last weekend Brandon's home and workshop, located right outside of Rochester in Oronoco, was flooded with over 4ft of water. Thankfully, he was able to save all of his customers instruments. However, he wasn't able to protect much of his heavier and more expensive equipment that is vital to his business. These are machines that have taken him years to accumulate and pay for. As a young small business and homeowner, this has been devastating to the point that he may not be able to continue with his work.

Brandon and his fiancé Elaina were told that neither their home or business insurance will cover the cost of damages. Being a hardworking and self sufficient young couple, they aren't usually ones to ask for handouts. As a business associate and friend, I would like to start this campaign to help Brandon and Elaina out. I am also an active musician in the community and a regular customer of Brandon and I believe that without Brandon's business, the community would suffer - there isn't a lot of people in the area who are doing the amount of quality work that he has been doing.

Brandon has given me an estimated list of damages and repairs. This is a large sum, but every penny is going towards making sure his home/workspace is livable, the machines that were destroyed are repaired/replaced, and his business can continue to serve the people and musicians of Rochester!

In addition to this GoFundMe, we are also organizing a benefit concert with some local acts at a venue to help Brandon further. More information on this will be available soon. If you would like to volunteer in any capacity please contact please reply to the GoFundMe page.

Here are some picture of what they are dealing with right now:
