VA Students Build Library in Ghana

Donation protected
“We promised the kids that we’d come back and build a library in Accra and we’re trying to make good on that promise.” Students and Teachers have been working very hard to collect books and funds for to help Woodbridge Mother and Daughter, Francisca and Samantha Boateng build a library in Ghana, where Francisca grew up. Students at the New School of Northern Virginia in Fairfax, where Francisca works, and Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge, where Samantha is a sophomore, have collected over 12,000 books and 10 computers, and raised over $5,000 to help build the library. With an abundance of wonderful books, we are still about $10,000 short of the cost to ship the books over and finish construction on the library. Please help us finish this project that so many have worked so hard to make a success. Every student should have access to a free public library!
