Our Mission:
Legends of Mele: The Tribute Series.
Our goal is to provide a memorial concert event that honors the lives and dedicated work of Hawai’i's music industry professionals. This perpetual event brings recognition to those who perform on stage and those who work behind the stage.
Legends of Mele leave more than a legacy. They are musicial craftsman timeless in spirit, as their Mele and voice lives on. Their music gives lyrics to life's many experiences and emotions. All too often, we hear of one or two of our Kumu Hula or Kumu Mele who have transposed to a higher key - their lasting legacy imprints our Hawaiian communities for generations. This is for those who have shaped our lives with music and culture and aloha.
We remember also, music and entertainment industry professionals - the thankless and tireless population behind the scenes. These are the unseen organized labor of roadies, riggers, stage hands, sound engineers, lighting technicians, designers, writers, promoters, producers, stage directors, and many more who bring the actual show to life.
Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts for laboring often around the clock bringing us event after event, concert after concert, gig after gig..... and memory after memory.
We honor you all as Legends of Mele.

Bring a tuned string instrument and jam-along during the intermission.

Each family has selected their performers to honor their legend in this 1st annual tribute concert.
If you have a deep love and respect for Hawaiian culture, please assist us in helping this vision come to light. Our intent is to bless the community with a free concert. These legends would love to see their people enjoying their music . That would be a great way to honor their contributions to Hawaiian Music.
This Tribute will be held each year on September 6 in honor of Roland "Boz" Cazimero who loved and lived Hawaiian Mele.
Tribute proceeds will also help to fund:
1) Honoree Foundations for Cultural Arts
2) Music Scholarships at the University of Hawaii.
3) Future Legends Of Music Tribute Series events.
