A 14-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a collision in Bicknacre this morning.
The boy was riding a bicycle at the time when he was in a collision with a Peugeot Boxer van in White Elm Road at the junction with Peartree Lane.
The incident happened at around 6.50am today (Wednesday, November 28).
The boy has now been taken to hospital for treatment on serious head injuries.
Essex Police are now appealing for information following the crash amd they also believe another vehicle may have hit the bicycle as it was lying in the road.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver who may not have realised they have struck the bicycle.
